Performances for the Soul
Project Life Stories is a theater company in Santa Fe, N. M. that specializes in the creation of solo performances. (one- person shows) The Artistic Director, Tanya Taylor Rubinstein has devoted her life to writing, performing, teaching, directing and producing solo performances. Her own performances include “Honeymoon in India”, “Pregnant Pause” and “a Woman’s Work…”.She has produced and directed over 60 other shows in N.M., NYC (Second Stage Theater), L.A.(Writer’s Guild Theater) and Dallas, Tx. Her upcoming show, “Scorpio Rising…..Monologues of Sex and Miracles” premiers in Santa Fe in February, 2009. Ms. Rubinstein is considered one of the foremost experts on solo performance (www.TheSoloPerformanceCoach.com)

Services Offered:

Private Performance Coaching~Ms. Rubinstein offers individual coaching to out of state clients at her studio in Santa Fe.(two day minimum; four day preferred) In four days working one-on-one with Ms. Rubinstein, a client can expect to go home with a basic outline of their script. Further script consultation is available online after sessions. These sessions are scheduled several months in advance, depending on Ms.Rubinstein’s performance and producing schedule.

Year-Long Solo Performance Class~ Classes begin twice a year; fall and winter semester and go for a year with summers off. Classes are for serious students who want to develop a full length solo show for production. Public Performance at the end of session is included in the experience. By interview. Class limited to 10 students. In Santa Fe,N.M. every other Friday, 12:00-5:00

Therapeutic Monologue Facilitation (For Organizations)~ Ms. Rubinstein is the creator of the Transformational Monologue Process, a three weekend experience that culminates in a public performance with participants sharing personal monologues onstage. This is a service for non-profits, colleges and universities, state organizations, hospitals and health centers and other humanitarian based groups. Ms. Rubinstein is available to produce these life altering productions as fundraisers and ‘awareness raisers’ around various issues. (Past shows have included mental health monologues, cancer monologues, gay and lesbian monologues, recovery monologues and many others)
